Marlinspike Hall in the French-Belgium called Le Chateau de Moulinsart, castle house is owned by Captain Haddock in the Tintin adventure serial created by Hergé.This castle is described mimics the middle of the Chateau de Cheverny (see photo). The name is derived from the French word Sart-Moulin, a village near Braine-l'Alleud in the Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
Marlinspike Hall has a meaning - a tool used to gob lace mine - is a family heritage castle of Captain Haddock seafarer's family since his grandfather father. Marlinspike Hall was first introduced in The Secret of The Unicorn episode, which at that time this castle was a residence of the criminals, Bird Brothers. The size of the house and yard at Marlinspike Hall seems need a lot of the household's maid and gardener, but only a faithful servant, Nestor who always looks.
