The Short Herge's Biography

Herge has a full name Georges Prosper Remi, born in Etterbeek, Brussels Belgium 1907 years. In his work he always gives the name initials RG, and in French, initials RG Herge read this, this is the origin it has a nickname Herge. After completing school in 1925, Herge began working at a newspaper called "Le XXe Siecle." Then in 1928 he got the opportunity to fill the rubric of children who become the supplement of the newspaper. Rubric children is called Le Petit Vingtieme and published weekly. But early this illustration is based on the author and request the results be not too publicly.

New on the encouragement and leadership, he began to muster up the paper to create a comic strip based on the imagination and apply their own style of American comic speech balloon to use as a field to fill in words. From where the character appears named Tintin, a reporter and a young adventurer who is always accompanied a faithful dog diversiform Fox Terrier, named Snowy. Tintin comic strip is entitled Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, and the pages start to appear in Le Petit Vingtieme dated 10 January 1929 to 8 May 1930.

According to Herge himself, actually inspired this character Tintin's own brother called Paul Remi, a military officer in Belgium. After this first Tintin comic in June and then resumed again in 1930 with both series, that is Tintin in the Congo, Tintin in America and so on up to 24 titles.
